Test It Tuesday: Side Walk Paint

#TestItTuesday When we first tested Sidewalk chalk

Painting is a huge love in our house!

When I found a recipe for sidewalk paint on Pinterest we had to try it! (It was all over Pinterest and I cannot find the original post any longer. Sorry!)

#testittuesday Sidewalk Chalk

This paint is amazing.  It looks just like sidewalk chalk when dry.  It covers a lot more than having to color it all in with the chalk.

You need .... cups, craft sticks, paint brushes, cornstarch, water, dish soap and food coloring.

In each cup (one for each color) put 1/4 cup of cornstarch and 1/4 cup water.  Mix.
Add 3 to 5 drops of dish soap and up to 10 drops of food color.  Mix again.

Paint away!

As you can see we first tested this 4 years ago!

I am sure you are asking yourself why add dish soap?  It is two fold.  The dish soap prevents food coloring from staining clothes and it washes away the color from your concrete better.

We first tested 4 years ago. I will still make it for them. We don't have as much concrete to paint, but they still love it!

Embrace play and make it a fun day!
