Life Size Me

Welcome to Treasure Chest Thursday! Have you ever noticed when you pull out the sidewalk chalk two things tends to happen. A hopscotch is made and bodies are traced.

Which gave me an idea to pull this one out of the archives to do with the kids today.

Life Size Me

It can be used to teach so many things!

  1. body parts
  2. colors matching
  3. self awareness
  4. measuring
  5. creativity

You will need:
  • Large roll of paper
  • Markers or Crayons

  • Trace their bodies on a large piece of paper. We tend to use old wrapping paper.
  • Ask them to point to different body parts and label.
  • Have them color their clothes the same as what they are wearing.
  • How many soup cans tall are they? Or how many stuffed animals would it take?
  • What do you want to be when you grow up and create yourself.
Little Miss, 2012.
