Pocket Pick Me Ups

First, what is a zine?

A zine (pronounced "zeen" just like the end of magazine) is a self-published, small circulation booklet or magazine. Usually, these are produced by an individual or a small group. Zines can cover infinite topics. The topic of the zine is up to the discretion of the creator and the creator alone.

With that, I bring you "Pocket Pick Me Ups"

This zine is full of quick encouraging statements and original art. Like most zines this is 100% DIY.

- the art is original watercolor, colored pencil, and marker work.

- the art was scanned into my computer and printed.

- it was hand folded and glued where necessary.

This zine ‘never ends’. It has this almost and yet totally amazing fidget spinner quality to it. When you get to the “end” and there is a whole new zine on the other side. So just flip and keep going.

Personal pep talks are for those struggling throughout the day. My hope for you is that you will be able to pull this zine out of your pocket and read through it while taking some deep breathes and refocusing. I plan on keeping the first run right in my wallet.

When you purchase "Pocket Pick Me Ups" I will send it to you within 2 days. Yes, this is a physical product that is sent to you. I will write your name on it and I will be covering the zine with prayers while I assemble it for you.

As I was creating this I was thinking about how helpful this would be for Life Coaches and therapists. Zines can be purchased in bulk. Please reach out to me and we can discuss your needs.

3 Steps to Fight Copyright Infringement

I asked recently ... "What do you want to see ... what I am coloring or what I am drawing?" A friend of mine said, "What are you coloring?"

My answer ... "I am coloring this, but I want to color this ... if I can find the artist first."

I am sure she thought I was crazy. Here is why I answered the way I did.
1. I want to support artists, not just color whatever I find on the Internet.  2. I wouldn't want someone to rip me off. 3. I dropped a piece of wisdom -- don't rip off artists! (Not that my friend does!)
So Zombie Girls there .. yeah, I love her. She is way more detailed than most things I color. I find her to be a challenge. I find her to be fun. I find her shared in way, way too many free coloring whatnots.
Pinterest and Google Searching are not the only culprits of hosting stolen art. There are plenty of "Free Coloring Book Sites" full of art that probably shouldn't be there. If you can't find the artist's name ther…
